Living in University Housing?

As stated in the move-in packet, online resident handbook, and terms & conditions, no guests are permitted in any of the UCSB residence halls or apartments beginning 5pm on Thursday, October 29th through 8am on Monday, November 2nd.

Additional information will be provided by Residential & Community Living staff throughout the next few weeks, but we wanted to get some important information out to you early so can plan appropriately.

  1. There is a No Guest policy in effect for residence halls and apartments beginning 5pm on Thursday, October 29th through 8am on Monday, November 2nd. For residence hall residents, guests are individuals who do not reside in one of the eight University-owned, on-campus residence halls. For apartment residents, guests are individuals who do not reside in one of the eight University-owned apartment complexes. Please contact your Resident Director or Complex Coordinator if you have questions. Those found responsible for violating the No Guest policy will be referred to Judicial Affairs for disciplinary action.
  2. Residents must carry proper photo Access cards and apartment/room keys at all times. Access cards must be provided to Residential & Community Living staff, other University staff, as well as police, upon request.
  3. There is no visitor parking on campus during Halloween weekend. Permit dispensers located in the University-owned apartment areas will not be available for visitor parking permit purchases. Parking lots will be closely monitored throughout the weekend.

Thank you for your cooperation in making this Halloween safe and enjoyable for everyone!
